a friend of mine just got second life yesterday, and has yet to be able to connect to the game at all. every time he tries, he gets an error stating:

"Unable to connect to Second Life. The system may be down. Please try again in a few minutes, or click Help for advice and a link to the system status web page."

but myself, and other friends who are on second life haven't had this problem at all.

he's tried today and yesterday with no luck. i was just wondering if there was something wrong, or if this was the login server acting up or what?

thanks in advance.

we tried logging him in on my computer and it worked just fine with absolutely no errors what so ever....

he hit the about second life menu and looked at his system specs and it said:
"CPU: Not supported (2793 Mhz)"

but he has a Pentium 4 CPU 2.80GHz processor...

my processor is slower than his, and yet i run with no problems at all.

Check firewall, you will get that message if a firewall, or port blocker is stopping SL from getting to the machine.

*waves* Hello everyone. Ya, that friend she's talking about is me.

We think it has to do with my connection but we aren't sure, so please, if anyone can help me, I'd greatly appreciate it.
