as of todays update, I cannot play it seems,

I try to login and it tells me there is a required update, so I click download and the game quits and the updater comes up, then imediatle crashes

so no update.

does anyone know a workaround or some way to get the new client?

try going to the actual downloads page on the website. Mine does this too, blocks the download from the UI...good luck

I have the same problem now too as of the latest required update today. Where am I supposed to download the latest update from the website? All I see is the 20MB client download for version 1.7.2, which I already have. Is there a page for update patches that I cannot seem to find?

Uninstall the version you have, and then install the 20MB client again, and it should be the latest version, so it won't ask you to update.

Oh ok, I will try that, even though that means I have to download 20 MB's worth of data again. Thanks.
