When I try to log in, it says 'Unable to connect. Despite our best efforts something unexpectedly went wrong when logging, check www.secondlife.com/status for any issues.

Well I did, and it looks fine, and some people are already online, whats wrong?? I hope I can get on, anyone else having this issue?

Still no replies to this, and no issues on the website... Am I the only one? I haven't been able to log on still...

Still no replies...Is it only me? Does anyone know how to fix this? I've tried over and over on Second life but I haven't been able to.

Your firewall may be blocking SL. And sometimes it's your router/modem needing rebooting. Check those two things out.

Weird, it's not the firewall, I've played it before alot, so I'll check the modem.

It's definitely not the Modem Either, nor the fire wall...

You know, I've experienced that issue a couple times in the past. I just try the connect button again.............and usually on the next try it works. Sometimes it takes a couple more tries.

Have you done that?

Yea, since about 9:00 AM I've been doing that, and it's always saying 'Something Unexpected has happened' or close to that, refuses to log me in, and kicks me back to the log in screen...

I've established that...

It's not my firewall, graphics card, Ram, or proccessing power, I've been playing it for about 2 weeks without this problem.
It's (I'm pretty sure, but not completely) not my modem, or router, because my web pages are opening fast and I'm logged on to ask for help,
It's not because of a ban, because I've heard what the ban screen looks like and this isn't it.

I don't know whats wrong with it, because I can log onto WoW just fine, and browse the web just fine...

What viewer are you using? The RC or the regular viewer? The regular is 1.19.4 (I think), the RC is 1.20.9.

Viewer? What do you mean? And how do I change it?

BTW I now know it's a computer problem and not ISP or anything, because the laptop I have can log in, but not the desktop, and the Laptop uses Wireless Internet connection, so it MIGHT be the viewer problem.

BTW the Laptop is a classic Macbook, and the Desktop is the original Imac, and as far as I know the laptop... I think I'll go put this in Mac Technical issues.

Try uninstalling the viewer and reinstalling it. I don't know how to manually delete any leftover files for a Mac but you should rid your computer of anything relating to SL before installing it again.

Also, make sure the viewer you download and install is the regular viewer..............it will be verson number 1.19.x (I forget the last digit but it will be 1.19). The Release Candidate viewer is 1.20.9.........that is a beta viewer for people who want to test it. Don't use that one until you get online using the regular. It's got bugs and could really be the culprit in your case if you are trying to use it.

Thanks... I've uninstalled and reinstalled everything twice, and I THINK I'm using the original, 1.19.1.4 is the version number. I'll try again.
