Hello, I went ahead & posted this in the Hotline to Linden, however, I'm sure it's a 1 person Linden Crew during the off hours. /invalid_link.htmlAfter installing the latest update, I'm getting a message that say's, "Finding Server Domain Name...." then after about 30 seconds it brings me back to the login screen to tell me, "Unable to find the server domain name. This could be the result of a lost network connection or a server problems etc." I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling SL. I also went into the Norton Internet Security to remove it from the safe list & tried reinstalling again so I was prompted to place it back onto the safe list. Still I get the same results. Any help would be much appreciated as I'm stuck trying to figure this out. I haven't had a problem in the past & surprised this arised now. Specks: Norton Microsfot Windows XP Pentium 4 CPU 3.40 GHz 3.39 GHz, 3.00 GB Ram 228 GB HD Thanks

Turn off Norton's and see if it will connect. SL and Norton's anything don't play nice.

A double thanks for your tips & help Kathmandu & Catherine. I turned off the Firewall feature in Norton & after a few mintues I was able to log in. After I was logged in, I turned the firewall back on & things are good to go. I have heard of Norton not playing nice with SL before. I think this should be added in their disclaimer as it seems to be a known problem with a lot of users & LL's answer has always been to troubleshoot 1st with the "This problem sounds like a firewall or Norton software" slogan. Thanks again & much appreciated for your help!!!

Thanks again & much appreciated for your help!!! I'm confused as to why it continued to work after you turned your firewall back on. Also, once you disabled the firewall, assuming it was at fault, it should not have taken a few minutes to connect. It sounds more like coincidence that the server was not available for the few moments where you were playing with your setup. But in either case, glad you got reconnected!!
