Can you explain what you mean? I can copy and paste the names of items in my inventory fine... And I can copy and paste actual items too. So what's broken?

Maybe the OP means from a context menu....

....in general, ctrl-c copies, ctrl-v pastes....nearly everywhere. Ctrl-a highlights everything.

I usually use the context menu when in inventory. So I don't think that's it. I do know there is a quirk where if you create a new folder nested two folders deep or more, you can't paste into it. You have to first put at least 1 item into it, and then have that item highlighed before pasting. Perhaps this is what she means... Please do come back and clarify. :)

what i am speaking of specifically is ...

when renaming files in Inventory
you cant, or rather, i cant rename files *in the Text Line*
by pasting in a text that is copied from another source such as,
another file in Inventory, or from a text located somewhere else,
including notepad, or file names located on my hard drive,
without having to type in manually each file name in Inventory

-- and of course im not referring to any files or objects
-- that are no-copy & no-mod to begin with

like me, im sure there are many people who have
100's of sequential files that are indexed with similar names,
they would like to rename using copy&paste without retyping each one

at one time oh so long ago, the copy & paste function did work
when renaming files in inventory ...

for a long time now, it hasnt

all the little ctrl and insert tricks dont seem to work when renaming files.
