A friend of mine, Sasha Pavlova, is unable to reset her password after the security breach. The issue is that when she signed up for the account some months back, she used an email that she no longer has access to. She has now emailed support three times - continually getting nothing but an automated response. In her emails, she clearly states that her email address on file with you is no longer active. I told her to call the number that is listed under the password reset page for "email no longer active" and she did this as well - she's called NUMEROUS TIMES leaving at least four messages that she can remember. In each attempt to contact LL, she has left you her home phone#, her cell phone# and her current email address. It has now been just under a month and I am shocked that there is not a single person at LL with ten minutes available to contact her. In the beginning I told her to stay calm and not get too worked up because there was a lot of real life personal information to be protected due to the breach and that LL was handling it to protect us, not hurt us, but come on - is it really your business to just ignore people? It took me over a year to convince her to join me in game, I finally get her to give it a try regardless of her preconcieved notions of online worlds and this is the treatment she gets? So tell me - what should she do? The phone number voice mail and email address obviously do not get checked.

I have a close friend that is having EXACTLY the same issue.
Really not good enoug is it? Not exactly our fault that security was breached and yet this is how we get compensated.
Fun fun!

I had similar issue, also getting the templated replies, etc. I finally tried calling the non-free direct number ( +1 (415) 243-9000 ) and actually managed to get in touch with a friendly Linden who resolved the issue in around 3 minutes. Your mileage may vary, of course.

It really is fun stuff - lol. She's over there fuming and cussing up a storm and I'm trying to be an LL cheerleader so she doesn't just say screw it and quit all together. Just sucks because you know I was getting bored w/ SL and when she joined up I discovered the beauty of watching SL happen through the eyes of a newbie again. I highly recommend going out and adopting a newbie for anyone who's getting bored. Send them to Yadni's Junkyard and then watch as they unpack all the great free stuff that we tend to take for granted. Oh wait, I'm being an LL cheerleader again and I'm supposed to be angry... :: Puts angry eyes back in :: Thank you for that phone number Takuan, I hope it works for her.
