Ever since the last update the game experiance has gotten worse.
I'm having serious teleporting issues, I need to remove all attachments before I can tp anywhere, and I have to attempt two or three times before it finally lands me. At times when I land it seems to lag, I'm somewhere else on the map, but it shows my av as being where it's not, so I cant land and have to relog. It really didnt seem to start until friday night then progressivly got worse until I got urked enough to post it
also, with the new patch many of my clothes have stopped working together. Something is grey and I have to adjust lengths to get them to work, if they're no mod.. well I'm screwed... I dont think it's my graphics card because other people see it as well

Gray = pending download , you havnt cached the texture for it yet, but sometimes client mess up and it shows gray even with 0 (relog usually help) but yeah... good luck with the TP ;p close SL start/run/secondlife://simname/227/212 (ish) much faster then hoping for the damn tp to work

Well see the grey issue... it acutally seems to become perminant and stays even with the relog. It looks fine when I go into appearance, but when I come out of it, it looks all screwy. And like I said it was fine up until the last update.

Updates = kills your SL cache, (and hours hours hours of cache it back cause so many are trying) so thats usually why you see grayness, the gray in normal appearance and not gray in appearance is a pretty old issue with SL, usually cache been bad. Its aggrivating i know to well -.- latly Asset server been very bad, i had a sim with 5000 pending downloads (31avs) erk,, it took..foreeever

Your NOT Alone

I haven't been able to teleport anywhere or be teleported anywhere by another avatar for the last 4 days!!! I have resorted to having to manually fly everywhere and that is very time consuming when I have different stores all over SL to maintain. So, I ended up having to by a plane to be able to move a little faster. TELEPORTING SHOULD BE THE MAIN CONCERN OF THE UPGRADES AND FIXES NEEDED IN SECOND LIFE!! All the other issues are fine that they are fixing, but the major one really needs an overhaul, and sometime soon before paying customers find something else to do in their leisure time and leave SL for good!

Jason Man! reading ur thread was so funny it made me forget my SL woes for a few minutues. I admit this TP problem is not a good way to promote new comers to invest their time and money in this game. Yesteday I had to deal with the TP problem, and the fact that I bought a 450L massage table that just poof* vanish and I've torn my closet (inventory) up trying to find it. I also came from TSO. Actually Jason this is a better game. But first impressions do mean a lot. I also am a TSO transplant and SL is much better place to be normally... I am still in TSO and used to be a total addict...now SL has become the addiction as it is what TSO should have been however I remember in TSO that for every fix to a bug there were new issues created... Is this going to be the new norm for SL??? we shall see but it seems since the last update issues have become increasingly annoying

From: Jason Barnave Oh well ill just sit here with my hand up my azz, looking at a pretty LCD screen LMAO. Whatever floats your boat. From: Margaret Mfume The update prior to this was a quick fix response to an exploit; like applying pressure to a wound to stop the bleeding until proper medical attention can be had. It is complete conjecture on my part, but I'm thinking that the temporary fix may have had some side effects in terms of performance. The upcoming update addresses the exploit issue and I am waiting to see a more stable platform after the initial settling in period which always seems to occur.
This is only my take on things. Since it has been stated that LL is aware of the problems and have announced an update, I hope posting your frustrations is an effective way of venting. I don't see it hurrying the process along. The only control I do have is in how I view and handle myself in this annoying and frustrating situation; I pick calmly. Mainly, I couldn't convince myself that much benefit would be derived from my alternative plan:
Dear Philip, wtf? *hugz* Margaret

The worst part is when we are dealing with the basic essentials of the system not working right, such as logging in, staying online, teleporting, and saving assets reliably. The threads are full of people not being able to log on, losing items from their inventory, not being able to teleport, crashing regularly, etc. When the game is stable it is wonderful, but when it is unstable it can drive a person nuts.
