I haven't been able to log into Secondlife for some time now; I've got an ongoing ticket and they're telling me to do something else instead now, which involved installing 3rd party software; I'm not sure I want this software on my computer, and what has changed? I haven't changed anything on my computer, apparently after some updated though, something is different and I can't use Secondlife. I'm spending my time, reporting feedback, checking logs, to try to get their software to run on my machine. And now, checking with my bank today, I was charged, again, for something that I can't use.
Since my last visit on June 19th, I've been unable to login to Secondlife, but still end up paying for it. What happened to business? It used to be, if someone built you a table, and it breaks, they rush right out to fix the table and take care of their customer; these days, things are different. Talking to an employee for some of these companies, one is made to feel like a fool at times; they get their money and seems that is all they care about. I mean, what do I do at this point? Spend another 5 hours of my time, installing stuff, trying to trouble-shoot this problem? Who is going to reimburse me for my time? This month, I'm down another $62.50 for something I can't even use. At first, I was told to disable one of my video cards, but I only have 1. I did that, and it still doesn't work. They closed the ticket but I had to reopen it because that was not the solution. This time, they tell me to install Quicktime and closed the ticket again. I'm not sure that is going to work, so I'll have to reopen the ticket. I don't understand why I should be shoveling out my money and then my time and effort, to try to fix this issue. If you buy a car from Honda, and the motor isn't working properly, they don't ask you to drive down to Jimmy's auto store and try some different spark plug wires.
It is discouraging, what is happening to business these days. It is as if they are doing you a favor, being in business. Forget that without customers, they would have no business. Unfortunately, I'm working today, so I can't spend a bunch more of my time, trying to figure out why THEIR program won't run on my computer, although I'm still being charged for it. What to do?!?!
