When I first log into SL the game lags, even in sims not fully populated. The lag isn't too great, but it's very noticeable. Moving and such isn't smooth, but the time between the stop and go is really quick. To me this isn't really an issue, but it's a bit annoying. However, after being in SL for sometimes only a few minutes (accelerated by standing in one spot for any length of time) the game begins to freeze up for sometimes minutes at a time, especially when I turn my avatar or move from mouse look to 3rd-person or vice-versa. Sometimes the freezes don't last very long, but during this time my avatar continues in whatever direction while all I see is what I was seeing just before the spike. Now if this were to happen say one every hour or so, that wouldn't be so bad, and would be much like the lag previously mentioned. Unfortunately these freezes happen one after the other, sometimes seconds after the one before. So basically, the act of moving from point A to point B which would normally done in seconds now takes me minutes. This makes moving anywhere aggravating. Really, I'd like to not spend my SL standing in one spot.
