I have divided my land and have a live musician using it. How do I get it so he can play live music from there. Amazing it is done a lot but no one seems to want to tell me how to do it. Is there a place I can get this information? Must be a big secret no one wants to share.

If...
you want a live musicician from RL to perform in SL

...you will need...

1. DJ software / hardware

Typically a musician will plug their instrument or microphone into a mixer and/or preamp. From the preamp the signal goes into their computer. Software such as SAM Broadcaster and Winamp with the Shoutcast plugin takes that signal and sends it to a "streaming server". (Edit: if you go to the slshoutcast store in Loon, there is a notecard with setup instructions for the Winamp option)

2. Streaming server

A streaming server takes the music feed from the musician's computer and provides multiple listener streams to anyone that has the website address for it. In the case of Second Life, this website address is what you put in your Land Music URL in the About Land window.

There are a few providers in Second Life that provide streaming servers and charge in $L or $US. Do a search for shoutcast and you should find my company SLshoutcast" and a few others.

There are RL service providers, noteably Audio Realm which is somehow affiliated with SAM Broadcaster.

Does this sound like what you are looking for?
