anybody else having these problems

Yes Elaine, I had that too, as well as a "server cannot be found" when I tried to open SL's website or log in my my account, or even the forum here. SL was acting just like the servers couldn't be found.
I couldn't understand why, as I didn't change anything on my computer between the last day it worked and the first day it didn't...
I found out that it was one of my anti- spyware program after an update (from the anti-spy, not SL) even if it worked fine before and even if SL was listed as an authorized programm. So I just shut off the resident guard and now it's working fine again.
Try to shut off any security program you have (one after another, and try to log in after each "shut off" to see if it could come from that and maybe identify which program is in cause.

wow just downloaded the new version and nothing will connect took it out 3 times cleaned puter restarted re downloaded the new version now still no connection no log in screen no nothing can I get the old version back help help *falls into a withdrawel coma*
