I got all systems requirements..............
Athlon 2400+, about 500 MG ram, NVidia 500 GeForce , and a flash cable connection of 4 megabytes....etc, ect
But since the new version of SL started, all I do is lag, lag, lag and freeze.
The connection levels on top right are most of the time in RED!
My avatar walks frame by frame.............views take time to get on focus............what should be wrong with my pc or is it with Second Life??

Better than what I have, and I don't lag much. Are there any other processes that involve up/downloading that you are running concurrent to SL?

Since 1.7, I get the same frequent EXTREMELY bad fps (0.1-1.0) but only in certain sims.. My home is in Rydal, and I'm just fine there 99% of the time, however, all I have to do is drop by the Shelter over in Isabel, and all goes in the tank, about 75% of the time.. I know Travis Lambert, the owner of the Shelter has bugged the Lindens endlessly about this, and to their credit, it seems to be getting a bit better.. Recently, I've also noticed another weird anomaly at the Shelter, besides the horrible fps.. Lots of permanent grey-people.. ie: AVs that have normal looking heads, but the body never rez's completely thus remains grey.. I've clean reinstalled/cleared cache, no effect.. Anybody else see this anywhere besides Isabel??
