I was wondering if 2 fps is normal for this world. I can get 15 fps when I fly above. I have a geforce 5200 with new updated drivers that just came out in febuary. If 15 fps is about the best I can get, then I will have to look elsewhere for another rpg or mmorpg. I can't afford to pay bills and update the computer at the same time in the winter months. The computer is fast enough to pull of fps shooters fine.

My computer has half the CPU of yours. fps 2 is pretty normal for me whenever I'm at a club with many people around, but I can get 5 fps at normal gatherings on islands... and more in a lonely place.

It's enough to tell who is and isn't dancing, to see most of the chat, and even see what people are wearing if I pan around to their location and wait a few minutes for the gray to clear.

It's enough to play the game. You don't have to quit.

There are a few things you can do to help though: turn off the clouds, turn down the display distance, turn off local lighting, turn off ripple water, and a few other graphics options. It really helps.

do I turn off the clouds in the options menu? I have most of the advance stuff turned off.

So it is common to wait before you walk after you land somewhere? And bear with me what is a good place to start off meeting people your own age. I am 45 and don't necessarily feel like teeny bobbing. Any good old classical rock out there.?

Kill every graphics candy you have. It'll help.

It's mostly CPU though. New CPUs get 30s and 40s where you're getting 5s.
