OK, as many know, 1.6 is... well ok no one likes it at all, but, has anyone had as many problems wiht the update downloader as i have? ever since 1.6, if i want to download an update, even if its not required, it always says cannot download, error and some other things. Just wondering, since for the update that was required, i downloaded the client, and it went fine, so do i download something elsenow? or is 1.6 all to blame?

It's crashed for me every single time I've tried to use it. I haven't bothered saying anything, since it's just as easy to go to the website and download the new client manually. |

I am told there is a way to fix it, have not tried this yet but PLEASE DO if you canz... would be awesomelicious if it worketh. Here goes the instructions:
Go to a path like this:
C:\Documents and Settings\(INSERT YOUR USERNAME HERE DEWD)\Local Settings\Temp
Delete the stuff in it -- should be alright since it's "Temp" anyway...
Then uninstall SL from the older version uninstaller, and reinstall it. In the latest vers. I think it cleans your cache too so you will be squeaky ice!
And then launch it and see if the autoupdater comes up properly.
