Well this just started again by the looks. I can't transfer money (and a minute ago I was able to) nor can I do a search for someone. I tried to contact Live help to let the lindens know and I get this:
[8:46] Second Life: You are the only participant in this IM session. Your message is not being retransmitted or stored.

First time I ever got that. Aparently all the Lindens are out to lunch and no one is minding the store.

Also I just heard from some friends that Teleports are starting to have problems. *braces for all out Grid crash....*

LOL, that is the first time you got that message? I get it all the time unfortunately. I have also been having database issues all day today and there are only 12,000 residents online.

I was having these issues until about a minute ago. Things work for me now.

[Edit]: Well, I lost about ten minutes worth of work, as my last ten minutes of saved objects don't show up. Tell me again why we can't build objects offline and import them... this is *really* disruptive.

Yes that was the first time I got that message in Live Help, though granted I don't use it often. And I didn't have any database issues till recently.

As for why we can't work on items offline (or back them up), apparently it would be too easy for people to create fake inventory items and or clone objects. So the reason appears to be security.
