for a very long time i ran a old nvidia 7600agp card and it did ok realy for sl Now i have updated not the newest card there is but i thought better what i had. new comp with 500w pw so iam sure i got the power lol nvidia 8400 pci 256 ram card comps has 2 gigs ram 64x2 dual core processer. ok not top of line but good comp lol my prob now is some objects eather prims or sl plants trees and such i can not see unles right on top of. i can stand at one end of my sim see clear across it at a little snowman but the little christmas stocking hanging on a fireplace not 3 m from me i can not see unles on top of it. realy this prob just started couple weeks ago. i been running this comp for a couple monthes now. i was told to update my driver and that should fix it. i checked and yes nvidia has a update released yesterday i beleave. i did a complet uninstall of my nvidia driver and installed the update. no help i have the same prob. can anyone please help?

Part of the problem is you really didn't upgrade. In fact, you probably went down a little. The 8600 would have been a bit better than the 7600 but most consider it more of a lateral move rather than an upgrade. The 7600 was a good, solid card for SL, to really see an improvement you would have either needed to upgrade to a 7800GT or better in the 7000 series or any 8800 card. Also, you may need to go into preferences and adjust object detail and tree detail and bump them up a bit.
