I followed the instructions below
Setting Up Streaming Music:
1) Right-click your parcel of land and choose About Land.
2) Click on the Options tab.
3) In the Music URL textbox, type the full URL to the streaming source. (e.g.: http://www.somafm.com/groovesalad56.pls )
4) Enjoy!
even used the example stream which plays fine in winamp, I set the url on my land and no music, what am I doing wrong?

SL doesn't seem to understand play lists - so I downloaded it and looked within for the actual stream:

pls (playlist) files are just text files - download it to disk (use "save link as", or whatever your browser calls it) and open it in your favorite text editor.
