SL stretches out my display when set to 8:5, so that I see a quarter of the screen. What gives? Just a normal problem with this "oddball" resolution? Image (ignore the launchbar):

i use 8:5 (16:10) 1920x1200 , that doesnt happen for me, tho i run in window mode not fullscreen mode. (winxp & winvista)
Try window mode ? or set resolution in preference when youre in there, i forget how it work.

It works fine in window mode, but the framerate leaves something to be desired.. That's why I wanted to try fullscreen. The computer is more than powerful enough (dual core intel, geforce go 7600, 2gb ram, etc), Second Life just likes to munch on resources, I guess..
If you could do me a favor, try fullscreen with autodetect ratio and see if you get the same results. If not, it's probably a driver or some bizarre bug on my end.

There you go, nah it works just as easy in fullscreen as in window mode for me, same fps to, other then the annoyance windlight has and red wierd flash now and then -.- its ok. pc stuff; nvidia driver 163.75 c2d6850@3.0ghz | 4gig ddr2 800mhz evga8800gts 640mb | audigy4 pci samsung275t 27" / 1920x1200 6hd's - 2160 gig | 12/2mbit cable vista ultimate 64bit | xp pro 64bit oh right, are you running multiple screens , disable all except the one you have SL on, see if that work.
