Network issues

A networking issue between our San Francisco and Dallas colocation facilities is causing some regions to be temporarily unreachable. This can also affect logins if the region you logged off from is in Dallas.
We are currently working on a solution.
We apologise for the inconvenience.

Bump. Wow! This networking stuff must be complicated since it breaks so often. If only there were a company in the San FranCisco bay area that made equipment that solved this thorny problem... Anyone else dealing with this have an estimate on how long these little episodes last?
I've been trying to log in for about 25 minutes and nothing..

It's the weekend. Linden Labs doesn't work on the weekends. Might as well take a breather and go do something RL that might relate to SL. And if that relation is naughty and/or seems physically impossible. . . . . Attempt it twice.

like i said in the other post, if youre already logged on, dont log off or you wont be able to log back on
tp's are also affected in different locations also.

Well, the reason I logged off was, I was trying to change clothes and the top half of my body kept disappearing, except for my head, which kept ending up between my knees. Quite an interesting look.  I think it may have been an indicator that something was not exactly right...that particular glitch has never happened to me before. Oh, and by "nation-wide", I didn't mean everyone in the nation - I just meant that people from different parts of the country are experiencing the same problem. I assumed it was something localized. Maybe the inter-tubes are all jammed up and full? |
