something strange is going on - around 2 months ago, I started having this really odd 'problem' with Second Life - whenever I 1) take a high-res screenshot 2) move something with more than, oh, 25 prims.. 3) try to re-color a linked object.. my internet dies. no activity. I can't move, I can't type. it is reproducible. I have to reboot my cable modem and close SL to get back online. ..now, Second Life is the only program I can think of that just randomly decides to kill my internet - has anyone else had this happen to them/does anyone hopefully know of a solution? a bit of information: I'm connected through an onboard 3com Gigabit LOM (3C940) ethernet connection and, as far as I know, I am using the latest drivers.. I've also tried using the cable modem's USB functionality, and it does the same thing - it actually dies MORE, and it likes to do it randomly. so yeah, that's the bulk of it. I can't even take a copy of my latest junk because my internet gives out when I select it. gah. help!
