I have had more damn troubles. My comp meets all the requirements and some are better than required. I would get stuck at the connecting to region. Then finally I got in, only to have my AV invisible and unable to move, all I could do was chat. Now today, after numerous attempts I am back to being stuck at connecting to region....

Last night I deleted all files and reinstalled SL. Drivers have also been updated. *throws hands in the air* I give up :(

I think asset server issues, been going on for months now...

as I log in, pass 1 zone, just 1, have 1 attachments (<4 prims) and poof my attachment gone, did not flag that I went to new zone and now can fly thru land, but can't land...this is the asset server not working.

So since everything we own, use, etc..is on the server, when it messes up, we can't do much.

So I don't think just you are special, all of us are..lol

If you're a new user, it's definately worth some troubleshooting... if you're using wireless networking, you might try a wired connection. If you're running other internet security or firewall software, definately disable it to see if it's interfering.

I am a new user and NO not wireless... I have trouble shot every stinking thing possible. I will give it another shot, but extremely discouraged. Is it just me or is the answer to everything, "do you have a wireless connection"?

Ah selena, sorry to hear you're so discouraged. Computer problems can be like that, so mysterious. I get frustrated too when I can't figure out what's going on. Lee wanted to ask you about whether you're on wireless just to eliminate that as a variable in helping you. :) There has been historical precedent in people with wireless connections having problems (search the Forums for more examples), so he just wanted to helpfully rule that out.

Sometimes when I am stuck at Connecting To Region, I reset my login location. This is done by clicking on a link like:

secondlife://Waterhead/128/128/

to launch Second Life. This sometimes works for me.

Can you please provide more information about your computer configuration, including if you've changed any components lately or recall anything else that's been modified in recent memory?

:)
