Teleports have been disabled for 3 weeks, when will they be back?

In the last two client updates, "Offer teleport" has been disabled. Does anyone know why this happened, and when this functionality will be returned?

In order to teleport someone to my location, I have to:

1. Create a landmark
2. Look up the user's profile
3. Search for the landmark I just created in my Inventory
4. Drag the landmark from my Inventory onto the user's profile
4. Wait until they teleport to my location
5. Delete the landmark from my Inventory

This is very frustrating and takes far too many steps to simply replace functionality that used to be in the client with just one button click.

This affects Windows and Linux clients, and has been disabled since at least ~Jan 23 or so (roughly the time I got back from a trip to .au and could log in again from home).

It doesn't matter if the user is on my Friends list or just another random profile I look up and select.

Anyone know?

Interesting. I've not had that experience. My friend and I were teleporting each other here and there extensively on Saturday. Never tried it yesterday, what with all the other problems, but has been working well for me in general using the windows client.

That does sound like a big pain, they've worked for me fine (until last night of course)...but, wouldn't it just be easier to look up at your literal grid location on the top of the screen and manually IM them the address?

I cant offer somebody TP from their profile, but I CAN offer from my Friends list.
It's a workaround...

If you want to offer a teleport to an enemy, you have to become friends first.
