OK I have a big problem

I can log on perfectly fine and everything but when it logs me on I cant see myself, it takes so much time to use IM and when I do use it no1 can see whos writing to them, and I cant see anything but land and water and the sky....
I have a Gforce2 Memory Card, I have 83.9GB left even after downloading Secondlife....PLz Help its been like this for days on end I cant even remember the last time I could actually see myself:-(

Do you have dialup or do you have some kind of broadband internet connection?

In the Help menu in Second Life, there is an option for "About" - this will tell you more info, which you should report here.

If you can't see your own avatar chances are your router/cable modem/firewall is blocking some data transfer between you and SL. You need assistance of someone who can help you to configure it, and who can also tell you how fast your internet connections is (you need to set the "Maximum bandwidth" slider correctly in SL preferences, network tab)

try one of those tests, clicky thing there, if you have under 500 kbps, i wouldnt recommend using that line , as you need to download aaalot constantly in SL.
