Whenever i try to watch a movie in sl anykind of movie sl freezes. Now it isnt my computer, top of the line 64 bit four gigs of ram PCI-E ati radeon 800xl, my connections runs at 510kps also. But for some reason everytime i watch a movie in sl, the game freezes, and my Gaim crashes also. It is as if the connected freezes up or something. It isnt a routher either, i unplugged and am going straight through modem.
Anyone have any similar problem and fixed it?

I have a x800 XL and know that I have to mess with the drivers a little bit extra at first, they were kinda buggy. I -love- ATI, but I really hate what they've done to the site so far as how we get our drivers now.

did you have the same problem and get it to work or what? My original problem was that the game would open, things would begin rezing with this wierd line patern and then I'd crash. Messed with the drivers, got in game with the wierd line things, no crashing. New update for the drivers and everything has been fine since. Yes, maybe quicktime if the video drivers are not working? Check the motherboard drivers too, just to be doubly sure _____________________

nope dloaded quicktime, didnt dload before cause i didnt want itunes. But it still dosnt play.
Maybe it dosnt like my OS windows 64? but 64 is emulating 32 bit for 32 bit apps. i have no cluw how this is happeneing, i know my system can hangle it. |

If you don't want all the hassle iTunes or Quicktime entails, you can install just the codecs with Quicktime Alternative here.

Video is really buggy for me and crashes me more than it works --- i keep it turned off. I think the problem is SL and not our computers on this matter. Sometimes movies crash several people at the same time - and we all have different computers.
