I've lost 50k worth of objects! I don't know quite what to do. On Friday night, I selected my house and all my stuff while in edit mode in a yellow box and chose Take. The items disappeared, but did not appear in my inventory. It is now Monday night and nothing has appeared. I've spoken to Live Help twice and they were very nice, but could only suggest I contact Kona, file a bug report, and email support@lindenlabs. Jennyfur Peregrine did give me some great tips on how to search for objects on land though. She was helpful.

So, I've filed a bug report, IM'd Kona Linden twice, and emailed support@lindenlabs, but have received no response other than automated. Kona appears online, but each time I IM him, the message comes back with response "user not online."

Does anyone have any idea what more I can do? I'm desperate!

It might actually be in your inventory, but under a different name. I had the same thing happen to me and then went to pull out candles and boom, a whole house came out. Check your inventory for recently put in stuff and see if it's not one of them.

Yes I think the group will be taken as a whole and will have been given the name of the parent prim (the last object that was rubberbanded).

:D :D :D

check your trash folder and your lost and found folders. Sometimes object go to them.

Many many months (8?) ago i had a product i made for a client disappear from my inventory. Was embarrassing as it was finished and then couldn't find it; ended up having to recode it.

something like this often appears in a FOLDER simply called object...
I have ' parked' a complete building taken this way before and this is what happens, make sure u dont delete it thinking its a normal ' item object'

Once u find it rename it, and make sure when u re rezz it ur in a LOT of space, cos if the space is not big enough for it u may lose parts

Everything has been grouped under one name in your inventory. Sort by date and look for stuff at the top. Go to one of the sandboxes and start rezzing the objects near the top of your inventory. One of them will rez your house and everything in it.

Dennie, Pituca, that's exactly what it was. the entire 748 prims were in an object called, "Deck Flooring (no copy) (no mod) (no transfer)." I guess that should have given me a clue, huh? OMG, thank you for your suggestion!!! I'm soooooo happy :D And to the rest of you for your great tips! Live and learn, eh? Color me giddy with delight ;)

whoohoo Lyn! I am so glad you found it.

Now a silly story. I was in our store the other day trying on some new stockings I had just bought and one pair didn't make it from my inventory to my Av. My finger slipped and the sox dropped on the floor? I don't know. I didn't see them but they weren't in my inventory either.

Today we were on the roof of the store and out of the blue Garth asked me "were you trying on stockings in the store recently?" I replied in the affirmative. Well! Those missing stockings were in the Contents folder of a section of the roof!

I've noticed strange things sometimes when I have an object returned to me -- and I can't find it anywhere -- not in Lost In Found, not in any other folder. It just disappears. Happens rarely, thankfully, but on the flipside that makes it hard to reproduce. Hmmm.

That usualy happens when an object goes above 4km or below 0 meters (or was it 4 meters below the ground?). It can also happen if you are turturing prims. It never bothered me so i never reported it.
