Hi, Darbi. You should check around the new Second Life Wiki, located under Support at the top...also, you may want to try rebooting, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling SL. If you could give any more details, like your computer set up, etc, that'd be great.

Just a thought, but are you running a firewall? If so did you allow SL ? Some firewalls just allow you to set permissons for the app, while others might require you to allow certain port ranges. Also if you are behind a router, you might have to allow the port ranges.
