Hello SL-Fellows!

I got a problem, but it is hard to describe. The movements of my Avatar starts to jitter after about 2-3 hours ingame. It doesn't look like poor framerate, it looks more like a Parkinson-Inpatient. Walking looks like a poorly programmed humanoid robot, which tries not to fall, and my if I start my smoking-animations it will look like slapping myself 15 times every breath.

It won't stop jittering, even if i leave the game for a while(!). Sometimes it becames better when changing he sim, but most of the time it starts after some time again without a knows way out of this Jitter-Hell.

My System is a X2 wit 1Gig of RAM and an Nvidia 6200 TC running on WinXP. Framerate is not the best, but the Jitter doesn't look like poor Framerate - as i said. Framerate is about ~7fps.

Help would be greatly appreciated,
kind regards,

Its probably due to your X2 processor, I had the same issue. There are a few things I tried to fix it, you can go to task manager and right click on secondlife.exe under the Processes tab and set the affinity to 0 (use only CPU 0). That worked for me but was a hassle, the next thing I did was update my AMD drivers, this not only made SL run better but made my CPU usage equal between the cores. You can get the latest drivers from here, please post back your results:

I installed the given AMD-Driver yesterday and stood at the welcome-area of Ahern for about 2 hours. Not jittering appeared and the framerate increased sightly.

It looks like, the AMD-Driver worked great! Thanks a lot for your help, Striker Wolfe!!

Kind reguards,
