My friend asked me to post this for her so I can help her fix her connection. She's playing through a Belkin wireless router. We turned off her computers firewall, disabled the router firewall because I thought it maybe resetting do to udp flooding. Then opened the proper ports so it wouldn't have a problem there. Yet every single time she starts sl and tries to log in the router shuts down the connection, if she has her connection monitor running she can reconnect there. So I'm pretty sure the router is resetting. I'm out of ideas here, this is the only game that she has this problem with and its only become a problem since the last update, so these new port configurations are really not the greatest choice.

Note all this hardware is new, within the last 6 months, so I dont think its a problem there, especially since nothing else gives her problems.

If anyone can give some advice we'd really appreciate it.

Believe it or not, I had the same problem with a Belkin Router about 1 year ago, maybe more. It would just "lose" the connection. I could never find a solution, and it only did this with Second Life. Now I'm on a Linksys wireless G Router and have had NO problems.

If you can, have her try a different brand of Router. It may have something to do with Belkin in general.
