Having to slide over to the ruler to engage the snap to grid function is very inefficient.

How about a nice modal snap like we used to have with some kind of visual indication of what mode we are for those who can't keep?

This would make it much easier to snap a large number of objects.

The rulers could stay and work like they currently are for those who don't want to use the continuous snap mode.
