So this is our new Bug forum. What we intend to do here is post a weekly list of the top 10 or so user submitted bugs, and try and keep you up to date as to the status of them. If you want to post your bugs here, that's fine, but please, remember to submit them in-game as well so we can accurately track them internally.

Cool.
Actually, what could be nice is a nice xml page, or some other spreadsheet thing, where we see a list of the bugs along with status, priority and so on.
At the limit, we could actually have the possibility of voting for which bug(s) we'd most like to see fixed and / or those we don't mind about.

Let me be the first to post a bug. I am allowed 802 prims in Kissling. I have about 500 available at this point. Sometimes, randomly when I try to rez one prim I get the message "Cannot create object because parcel is full". Of course, when Dan Linden came to investigate I could not duplicate the problem. He suggested if it happens again to call him so he could see it. This morning, I tried to rez a 3 prim object and I repeatedly got that message. I checked and there were no Lindens online at the time, so I took a screenshot. i moved around on my land as I have several parcels and the same thing. Later on, I was able to rez the object...
Any one else having this problem?

Any one else having this problem? \ Buck, Yeah, I have seen this several times, mostly on my group owned plots of land in Blue. I always view the message as a 'hiccup' of some sort, because for no reason at all it will not allow me to rez an object with the 'parcel is full' message (sometimes it will give me the message after several tries in a row), then out of nowhere, it will accept the prims. -Bone

I have gotten this a few times myself (in Blue) with 400+ prims available on the land. Annoying, but seems to be a minor bug and doesn't persist. Seems completely random as well. I've yet to be able to duplicate it.

I've gotten this too. A few times I had to move a few feet to a different spot, others it took 5 minutes before I was able to rez, and I have like 800 free prims on my land.

I've gotten the parcel full bug myself many times and reported it - they are aware of it - a tester and Cory Linden both came to my hotel to try to diagnose the problem, but it occurs so sporadically that it is difficult. What I have found is if you wait a few mins and try again, it will work.

OK well here's my bug.
Texture corruption with ATI cards,
I have worked with a linden on this. I have tried old drivers, new drivers, fat drivers, skinner drivers, high settings, low settings, settings from aliens. EVERYTHING aside from getting a new card which in my case would entail getting a whole new system, since I'm on a laptop. my card with old drivers worked ABSOLUTELY fine before 1.2, but ever since 1.2 i have had this issue.
attached is a pic showing both what it should look like and what it looks like when it gets corrupted

I get the same message. It has always seemed to me that the message occurred when I tried to create a prim actually inside my house. When I have then created one outside it has always worked. I thought it was a feature. However, that might just be a coincidence.

Thanks for opening the door, Colin.
And, since you asked, I'm bugged that Linden responses to bug reports have become sporadic. They used to be so reliable...always a respnse within 48 hours. At least the auto-responder is still on speaking terms with me. What changed at LL in December to create such a dramatic reduction in support?

No Build For You
01-16-2004 23:05
Having been unable to rez on my land in Clara since the release of 1.2, I"ll also join the petition against the PrimNazi bug..."Parcel Full. No build for you today. You come back one month."

Any one else having this problem? I believe this is happening because of interface issues. (unless you have multiple properties in a sim which seems to be a different bug than what I'm addressing; disgregard in that case) For some reason the system thought you were trying to create an item on a parcel that was full instead of your own. This can happen (has happened to me this way) because you are too close to your boundary or because of the extreme over the shoulder angle that we have by default. Change the camera angle so you are looking STRAIGHT down and that way there can be no doubt as to what parcel you are creating on. I also see this happening if I am trying to rez an object on top of an elevated object which, again, can lead to the system thinking I am not really rezzing on my property. (this one is probably easier to spot because if you follow LOS past the elevated area it takes you past your property and elsewhere) Again, top down view saves the day. When I stick to a top down view I never get this message.

Is it a "bug" that this forum shows up to non-logged in visitors?

One of the more annoying bugs that I've been getting a headache over lately is a strange verticaly jittery motion coming from my AV and/or the x/y/z positional widget, especially while I'm editing attachments.
This seems to happen only while I'm standing, and doesn't seem to happen at all while I'm floating in the air (in fly mode).
It seems to be worse when I'm standing on something rather than on the actual ground terrain surface.
The only way I can describe it is that there's a random vertical jitteryness, which often makes it difficult to position things carefully, or to grab one of the axis sliders on the x/y/z widget.
It drives me nuts after a while and I either find some solid ground to stand on or hover into fly mode...
I just thought I'd ask here if anyone else has seen this (and perhaps can describe it better than I can) before I officially report it as a bug.

I have something that kinda sounds simular to that kex.
Objects will "flinch" up and down in some places. Like they move up and down slightly every now and then together. As if someone had linked all the objects together and was repositioning the Z plane by a few inches. Its very anoying, but doesn't seem to happen in all areas.

Heres a list of known bugs, most of them fairly old, but never fixed.
