OK - i got a new notebook with a Gforce 8700M GT Graphic card.

On friday i was in SL with that Notebook - every thing works fine - now (sunday morning) the client tells me that my graphic card driver is out of date :-( - i cant start the client.

I was looking for a new driver - but - for notebook drivers i have to load the drivers from the company that produced the notebook. But there is only a a XP-driver from the 29th of August - a bit more older than 3 month old now - but its the latest i can find in the internet.

so my Question: WHY DOES IT WORK ON FRIDAY and NO MORE ON SUNDAY?

Please help

That SL message happens to people sometime even when the driver is fine. Try uninstalling and reinstalling seond life. Also try the new release candidate.

I have gotten that message in error a couple times with Nvidia 8800's and very latest drivers and the problem was solved by reinistalling SL.

I have reinstalled SL + Windlight + Release Candidate - in all 3 cases the Problem is still the same :-(

Even a reinstalling of the Nvidia drivers and DX9.0C don't work.

And i try to wait for new Client Releases....

(hope i can get online at least till next weekend - cause i give a party InWorld!)

thanks for reply Rebecca
