Hi, I'm now using a laptop my brother's lending me. It has a Geforce 6600Go on it and he says that one of the older driver updates is the card's 'optimal' driver, or something.
Which I can kinda understand since some of the later drivers don't work with the card at all (esp since it's a laptop card, sometimes nvidia seems to forget to include those in its official driver updates).
So I was wondering if there's a flag or a toggle that I could use to disable the driver version check?

I know there's one to toggle for auto detecting hardware....not sure if that includes the drivers for it. It's in Preferences....Advanced Graphics.

Hm. Well, I don't think the config files are created unless I actually log in, so I guess I'm out of luck.
Looks like I'll have wait till I have enough money to buy a new PC. Thanks though. :D
