We prepared banners for a manifestation in SL. We want everyone to be able to hold them upright in their hands but it doesn't work for some avatars. We copied a script from a 'torch'. Where did we make a mistake? How to fix it? We desperately need to have'em ready asap.
Some of the avatars can hold it in vertical position , Could you please help us?

They could try taking off their AO's etc... animations are loaded with priority settings 1-4, if the torch is say 3, and the users AO is 4, then that will override the torch animation. Its the same with HUDs etc. With the new pipelines being introduced, the priority for the client now is Graphics, scripts and animations are of a overall lower priority anyway.

, but as I'm new to SL, could you please explain what AO is and how to change the priority settings? is there any tried and proven method of making an object that any avatar can hold upright in his hand?

Sorry, AO=Animation Override, this is used for people to use a different walk, rather than the default Ali shuffle.. or so the avatar strikes a pose eachtime they stop walking. Setting a priority for your animations to 4 (this is done when you upload your animations into game), will not always work, if equal to any previous animations (poses are considered animations) worn by the user.
Best advise, tell them to remove their AO's in shoes, or types they wear and HUD poses AO's etc... use your Torch Animation, if it works, they can then try loading back thier AO's to see which ones override the prefered one.
