SL Very slow FPS all over

Everywhere I go and anything I do in SL brings me very low FPS it never gets above 7. This is becoming out of hand, I play many online based games and I know that SL is server side content based and other online games are not. But this prfomance issue is about to force me to cancel my subscription, please help to solve this before I do.

My system specs are as follows, there is no outstanding hardware or software issues or virus/spyware, I run a clean system.

AMD Athlon XP 2Ghz
1.5Gb DDR400
Nvidia 5700FX 256Mb 8x
Windows XP SP2 Home (up to date patched)

I also should say all my effects settings are at their lowest.

pretty normal for that set up. well I was getting 5-27 fps depending where and when.
thats what I just got rid of exactly same cpu mem and card, thats a pretty low end card from what I have been told.

Have you opened the client menu and fiddled with the client seatings to test some things?
make sure object inclusions has a X on it

that got mine up. it was off that was a live help solution it worked a bit.

also depends on your bandwidth.
