Packetloss

Today (and only today.. at least so far) I've done the same things as any other day playing the game, but my packetloss has been bouncing all over the damned place.

I've installed nothing new, I've not run anything other than SL, I've changed nothing in preferences. In fact, the only things different are clearing the cache, running virus and spyware scan and rebooting. No change.

Also, rez is way slower (walk away and watch television, cook or do dishes and come back to find the place still hasn't rezzed. All different size sims, all different type properties, same result).

Is this just a function of it being a busy day? Or is this something that's out of the ordinary?

Other programs and games on my computer are running a-ok. SL seems to be the only issue here for me.

Curious if anyone else is experiencing the issue as well.

It's a real shame I wasted the cash for sign up and Lindens only to face consistent issues and downtime. *sulks*

Same problem here. Started a few hours ago...

Have 20-35% packetloss. And bandwidth usage is fairly lower than usual.
No problems with packetloss to other servers on the internet. My connection seems just fine.
No changes in my software or hardware.

Same. And it's not just the client, it's the website too. Not any other website, just the SL website.

I noticed this as well today, and it's a great deal worse than normal for me. It was also reported by a friend halfway across the map from me with nearly identical hardware, down to the make and model.

In addition to that, I was getting a very large number of asset server problem messages, so it does appear to me that things are a little on the flaky side in general today.
