I tried secondlife on this machine last week and it worked just fine. Today, I play a couple games, then decide to jump on second life... The screen is all jumbled, text is barely readable, etc etc... I can take a picture if needed...
Anyway, I can still log in, but everything is jumbled. Playable, but scrambled. However, after trying to play for about 2 minutes, the game crashes.
I have not recently altered any settings, I even uninstalled and reloaded the game and it does the same thing. Need For Speed Most Wanted and Race Driver 3 both work just fine. I'm willing to try any other games to test my GFX card, but this machine is brand new and has barely been used any(only 2 weeks old)
Specs..(I know it can run it fine as it has already, but just so you guys know...) AMD Athlon 64 3700 2x512M DDR3200 GF 6200 TC PCI express(64M onboard) 80G SATA HD
Any ideas?

Everyone will blame it on your graphic card, or heating , so will i ~.~ Wich nvidia drivers are you using, usually the onboards come with preinstalled and crap drivers not updated www.nvidia.com

Other than heat & drivers, it could be the games themselves. See, I play Battlefield 2, Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 with the graphics cranked up high. Now if I leave these games, then start SL, I can expect all kinds of weirdness- glitchy graphics, slow rezzing, stuttering. So what I'm thinking is, the games use so much in resources that sometimes the system doesnt want to "give it up" for SL, like RAM. Windows may be holding onto bits of the game in Memory in case you're gonna start it up again. What you might try is restart the system. THEN try Second Life & see what happens. When mine gets glitchy with SL, I do a restart & SL runs smooth as silk. Ok, close to it.

I thought heat but it wasn't THAT hot... 63*C, with the cutoff being set at 145*C, that's not too bad. I know it's not cool, but for a GPU with no fan, it's not that bad...
As for drivers, I can try to update, but it worked just fine a few days ago...

... ... I just remembered I tinkered with some of the advanced settings. Mostly just quality/performace things. I reverted them, and it opened up just fine... I'm not a noob when it comes to computers, just can be stupid sometimes I mean you should of seen my last machine! I just tore it down because of hardware failures...
