I have 2 pc's connected through a router that share internet connection via DSL. Myself and my husband each have our own toons to play SL with. This is what happens when we both play.

We get logged out every 10-20 mins to the grey log out screen. Sometimes my chat goes to his pc and he gets double chat and crashes. Also sometimes He gets my ims from other people while playing. Its almost as if we have 1 id or something I dunno. We tried uninstalling and reinstalling sl and have current drivers. Our modem and router and both new and have no errors.

What could be causing this? And how could we fix it?

Now Heres Our Settings:
1.5 DSL connection to the net
Brand new linksys router wired to the pc's I use for sl.
Windows XP on both pc's
512 ram on both
AMD Athlon 2.20 GHz and AMD Athlon 2.10
NVidia GeForce FX 5500 128 and a 256

I'm pretty sure this is not a problem with the SL software. From what you have mentioned so far, sounds like a router issue in getting the data to the correct computer.

I figured it may be.. but how do I get it to route right? Or could it be we are using the wireless capapbilities and that pc is causing interfereance with sl or the router?

Anyone know something to work around this problem?

Router and Wireless can present its own problems individually. You are using both together and seem to be having a hard time of it. Here are the two links on the wiki addressing each issue.
