I just got a new Netgear router as an up grade from my Linksys.. WGR615.. I can't connect through it..
Anybody else have this problem? Looks like I'm stuck with the old Linksys..

SL is hosed right now in case you didn't notice all the threads

From: Huns Valen SL is hosed right now in case you didn't notice all the threads no, just in panic mode thinking my new router wasn't working right. funny part was i reconnected the linksys, and it had reset to factory defaults on it's own...

go into properties on the sl icon on your desktop....after the quotes try typing in -port 13000
it should look like this "C:\Program Files\SecondLife\newview.exe" -port 13000
this is of course once sl is actually working again
this also has to be done every time there is an upgrade to sl & only do it on the main computer not your second one

As a final followup (and since I have time to kill because I can't get on again...)
I did finally connect to SL this moring with my new Netgear router, so the problem, as we are all painfully aware right now is with SL itself.
