nVidia just released the 169.01 beta drivers to coincide with the release of the Crysis demo. SL now crashes upon login using any of the clients without any messages. So anyone with a GeForce looking to play the Crysis demo with the latest drivers, be warned.

Anyone willing to experiment should post their results.

Havnt tried them in winxp yet, but the vista one doesnt seem to have to much issues with 'em.

Crysis was kinda...meh , another farcry with new monsters and prettier graphic, but still the same dull fps genre, not really revolutionary , ill rather play Witcher \o

There is a new beta driver, I haven't tested it yet (it's a hassle to uninstall drivers) .

32 Bit

Vista: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x86_169.04.html

Not Revolutionary? LOL! You just "Run N Gun"? So far I think its how the FPS genre should be done. Trees collapse/break/take damage, bushes move when I brush against it, vehicle parts act as they should- tires flatten or burst, and quite a few other big improvements over the same-old-same-old.

And Witcher looks good! So does Hellgate London! Didnt expect that one to be an RPG. Gonna pass on Quake Wars tho- Now THAT is just a typical FPS.

The Nvidia Beta drivers work excellent. EVERYTHING works. Only SL/WL seems to have an issue with the newest drivers after 163.75.

Have these installed no problems. Had them for awhile now.

Make sure you installed them correctly.

No not at al. As Osgeld Barmy said beta drivers are unstable and can cause even worse results.

True, but historically speaking Nvidia betas have usually been trouble free for the most part until 169.x and when I first got my 8800gtx, beta drivers were the only drivers that worked at all.

Well i can`t install beta drivers for some reason and I using the proper language versers. Besides, drivers are only as good as the build itself.
