o.k. i am new to SL... and i searched though this place and was unable to find a topic that matched my problem. (so in other words... sorry if this was posted before.. i didnt see it.)

so heres the deal..
i was changing my apperence. playing around with some new shirts that i got... when i ended up changing to a shirt and it seems to be stck that way.
if i try to change to another shirt... it just appears undernieth.
i chose the "take off" option, but that didnt work at all. it just took off the shirt that added under it.
now it keeps telling me to create a new shirt (wich i am not ready to do)... and leaves me with this one. the worst part is.. i cant even edit the shirt that is stuck on my avitar.

is this a glitch? is it fixable?
or am i doomed to wear a shirt i got for free... that i dont really like?

any help would be greatly appretiated.
thank you!

Hi and welcome Shouling--please try this:

Q-17 * Things were okay but my avatar is suddenly wearing yucky stripes/strange textures/clothes I don't actually have on/pictures from Second Life or another program! Other people can see it on me too! How do I fix this?

A-17 * The easiest way to fix this is use Debug menu > Character > Rebake Textures and wait a few seconds.

A harder way of doing it: right-click yourself, select Appearance. See how it goes away temporarily? We want to make it disappear for good. Usually, clicking on Shape > Body > adjusting Height to something different, then Save All, and Close will work. If that didn't work, try selecting a more specific tab of Body Parts or Clothes and doing the same. For example, if you have lines all over your legs, try changing a Pants slider and saving.

If the affected item is no-modify, unfortunately, this may not work. If you have no extra copies, contact the creator, show them what's wrong, and ask nicely if they can help you with a complimentary replacement.

Hi Shouling,

The advice that Torley gave you is good, but I believe the answer is much simpler then that. You saying that it appears under any other shirt leads me to believe that
the object was put on as an undershirt. Simply go to appearances and chose to take it off. Try it. Sometimes things are much simpler then they seem. :)
