Autoreturn Ate all the items....

I know inventory loss is discussed a lot, but imagine my horror today when i log in to find that when everything i had on rented land, that was autoreturned due to not paying for the next month in advance.... Had dissapeared.

Including the most expensive bed that Strokers Toys makes ....

I mean over 15,000 Lindens worth of stuff just vanishes, and yet there's no way to get it back, we've all been down this road of reporting these bugs to Lindens, only for it to fall on deaf ears or eyes as the case may be, but when we're talking upwards of 60 dollars worth of "virtual" items and im sure some people have lost more than that, hundreds of dollars, it just boils down to why isn't something being done to stop it from happening....

And as a customer we just sort of now accept it as the norm.... "Oh no, i did something, and half my inventory dissapeared oh well, i best just get on with my life"....Sighs... It just gets depressing seeing stuff you work hard to get dissapear, and having no form of compensation, for an issue, that really shouldn't happen.

hon, i hate to parrot the standard drivel on this, but have you checked your Lost and Found and Objects file for a "coalesced" object? *ignore rest of message if you know about this already*

Autoreturn will usually combine all your stuff into a randomly chosen object, usually its icon in your inventory folder looks like a pile of boxes instead of just one. Although it may look just like a box. Go to an empty sandbox and rez that object, ALL of your stuff will show up scattered around roughly as you had it in your apartment. Then you can pick them up one by one.

BUT...be warned....I tried to rez a coalesced object made up of my auto returned objects, and I haven't seen a single one of those possessions since...with SL the way it seems to be these days...you run the risk of losing everything combined in the coalesced object, and no, LL won't be interested in showing you any kind of support or recompense if this happens.
