Can't log in

Status page says the grid is back up and running but I can't log in now. The auto-updater failed and directed me to the website download page, which I duly downloaded and installed. Since then I'm getting the following error: "Unable to connect. The system may be down. Please try in a few minutes or click Help for advice and a link to the system status webpage".

Clicking Help does nothing but I found the status page anyway, and it says the grid is up.

So... has my download somehow screwed something up somewhere? It's never happened like this on previous patch-days.

Advice please?

EDIT: I have uninstalled and re-installed it, and the problem is still re-occurring. It is failing on the "Verifying protocol..." step of the login.

I am haveing exactly the same problem you discribe. I have downloaded and installed the new issue and still having the same problem
