I am still on the lookout for a good laptop as a replacement for my current one. The one I fancied was a Dell M170 with an nVidea based graphics card. However I remember a few months back a number of folk were having issues running SL on this laptop.
I am wondering if the problems have been sorted before I go out and buy.

Dell still sell those?, Dell Xp's

XPSTM M1710 , closest i could find, wich seems just fine for SL, but no idea how warm it would get and fast it would eat power when in SL tho, prob very fast.

ignore this babbling thing >
Laptops eh, wouldnt use one for SL due to its heavy rendering / make alot of heat on laptop, probably make them alot more unstable prone to crash, -.- to pricey for vs a desktop that can be easy upgraded.

My mistake, yes it is the M1710. I had been following this thread
/111/9d/109494/1.html
Which seemed to be suggesting some top end laptops were having crashing problems.
I quite fance the M1710 but would like to hear from someone who has one.
