I finally got a new PC and installed SL. Much to my dismay I find out that SL runs like utter crap, when the video card was twice as good as the one I was using. Is there any way to fix this? I get .9 FPS and can't even function.

The video that's on the motherboard is Radeon Xpress 200 with 256mb ram. other things run fine, but SL won't even try to work right. I installed the earlier drivers and that didn't solve anything.

I've had issues with SL dropping down to really low frame rates as well. It looks like the Ping is way out of wack, when it happens to me, but I can't really tell. I've had to restart SL in order to clear up the FPS issue myself. I'm wondering if its not this new 1.6.12 build, but... eh, I couldn't say. Good luck if you find a solution.

If your ping is high, your framerate drops to a crawl. Same with packetloss.

I have no idea why.

The Radeon Xpress 200 is an integrated graphics chipset equivalent to the Intel D945GTP.

As such, it's not supported. If it runs, performance may be unsatisfactory.

Lee, that little tidbit needs to be stated in the minimum requirements because of ATI's name and numbering conventions few people know what anything is equivelent to. I had no idea the X200 was unsupported (low powered for sure) and I'm sure hardly anyone else is either and we all know ATI isn't going to admit how crappy their cards are. LL is doing a disservice to its customers by not listing what laptop and low end systems it cannot run on in an easy to find place.
