Strange blue and red light coming from things

I was wondering if i made a change in something and now I can not find. I have having a blue box like thing floating up from my feet off and on. If i turn off particles then i dont see it but that is pain and can not see others.

Also when I tp i see red and in movements of others when they fly. What do i change? Something under view? or rendering?

Ctrl-Alt-D to bring up the Client menu (if it not already is up) > uncheck Show Updates
