I had slow logins yesterday (reaally slow) but no more problems with passwords.

Got the must change password message when trying to log in, got SL to send the email for the reset, tried to reset and got "Unable to process this right now". I am now not able to change my password even if i try to request it again. How the hell are you supposed to get in !!!!

Im in the UK so calling the US number is out (even if it worked which judging my other posts here no ones getting any joy ringing it anyway)

I am having this EXACT same problem! When I go to reset the password, as told at the login page, I put in the current password and then the new password but it tells me my current password is incorrect, and that response is incorrect because I know my password. Now when I try to get on with my alt, I get in and am not redirected to change my password. I need to get on with this avatar because I have offlines from customers, that I need to tend to. Please respond, Lindens, or someone who knows what this issue is? Thanks!

I finally did call them...
Did wait for few min before a really nice man answered me, he did check my security question and they reset my password... I can now use back my alt.

A friend of mine reported to me by mail she has the same problem. She opened a call in support, as she is deaf-mute, so cannot call by phone...
A really great move towards the handicapped...
She said she did not get the security answer right, and as most of her friends have strange first names on their avatars hard to remember right when you're offline, she could not enter them instantly. And after she got the now famous web site answer...
If she could get to the page, I could assist her to find the correct names, but like this it's a dead end street.
And the third option, entering the name of the AVs home location is almost pointless, as basic accounts have some arbitrary location which is usually far from known...
So the password reset for her is a problem as she simply can't get to enter a new one... Looks like SL might lose another once enchanted player due to bad support.

Amy, I suggest you call this toll-free number, that someone suggested above: 866-476-9763 I am on hold now seeing if someone can help me with this issue. You are not the only one with this issue, so don't worry that you're doing something wrong, because you're not :) Good luck! ;)

Edited to add update to all still having trouble with this! After being on hold, I got help. They are of course aware of this issue and they told me my new password that they created for me *scratching head on that one* and it works. After you get in with the password they isssue you, reset it quickly to one of your own. Ciao
