yellow,red,green avatars |

I'm new here,so i'm trying to find my way around.
is it normal that everybodi's avatars (including my own)look yellow,green or red,depending on wht distance you are away from them. my avatar also looks a bit distorted,is this normal? the only thing i can see perfectly is my hair,no mater from what distance i look? Please help. I'm working from a toshiba sattelite laptop with an ati radeon mobiltyx700 with 256 ram any advice will be greatly appreciated |

Welcome to SL. This problem has been noted before in this very forum. Try turning off avatar vertex. In the future you may want to try a search first as many questions have been answered before in previous posts by other residents with similar issues. Please see the following list of posts on this very topic posted repeatedly when using the search term green avatar - /invalid_link.html in which the residents all had the same issue and unchecked avatar vertex in settings and it seemed to be the fix.
