Inventory Search Issues/ Texture search issues

When I search my inventory, 90% of the time it comes back with that annoying "No item by that name in contents" or whatever it says when nothing can be found. The problem is the second I hit the "x" to clear the inventory search field...the inventory scrolls right to that exact object I was searching for... this happens when I am texturing a prim as well and search for a texture...is this a bug that many are having or am I the only one?
