Random crashes

Hi

This one's really driving me nuts. I can log into SL and walk around a bit, if I'm quick I can teleport somewhere, but about 2 mins later the game crashes and I end up back at my desktop with the 'send error report' window popping up.

(btw: every time I hit the send button in the error report window it just hangs on 'transmitting data')

It wouldn't be so bad if I just couldn't start the game, full stop. That would blatantly be a driver problem.... but it's running for a couple of minutes and then dying. It's not a problem with my audio codecs or anything because streaming audio works fine.

I've recently gone back to XP after suffering the Vista beta for a while. Before Vista, SL ran perfectly for months, and now I've gone back to XP, I can't play it.

I'd really appreciate any help and advice

thanks

I decided to check the secondlife log file and found this at the end:

Does this mean it's SL's fault or have I just completely forgotten to install something vital?

This is happening to me too. It started IMMEDIATELY after the update last wednesday. I have reseated my vid card and memory, and uninstalled/reinstalled SL several times. I have reinstalled the latest video drivers multiple times... Still just starts crashing out to desktop with no error, just says sending crash report. I can go hours with no problems, then suddenly it starts crashing left and right. I have found that if I reinstall the client, I get stability again - which usually takes care of the crashing for the time being... but eventually I will start crashing again.

Very frustrating, as I am a busy event host. :(
