Just wondering if the Lindens are either aware of or are doing some testing that is causing major gridwide lag.
I teleported to a telehub and got a time dialation of .05, then I teleported over to Furnation, and got lag there, same with The Wild, and Lost Furest, and even Berkshire, which suffers virtually NO lag, is sludgy like an ejaculating oil derrick.
I'm not complaining, just curious as to what is causing this?

It's there, it's real, and there are only about a few dozen threads confirming your experience.
Linden Lab categorically denies that there is an issue (but I actually think they know and are just being coy).

Yeah, I mean if there were no issues like they say then why are they saying 1.7.2 is addressing some of the lag issues? Come on, does Righty know what Lefty is doing or what?

Today I've been experiencing a recurrence of the Great Gray Gridstorm of '05. Textures have been extraslow for me to load today, compared to... yesterday.

Not only did Isabel return to 0.00 time dilation hell tonight, but our haven in Wingo went down to 0.09 during Payment Podium as well. Wingo's usually unaffected. Really hoping patch day tommorow brings some badly needed relief!

I don't mind if the Lindens mess about with the grid, as long as they are truthful with us and help stabilize the grid. After all, we support them with premium accounts and contributing content in which people invest money for services, and they support us by supplying the proper vector for those services. Of course, the 'proper vector' is in theory only, there are some hefty bugs to work out. And I really hope they will be honest with us and say "Uh.. we borked things, but we're working to fix them!" If a company is honest and gives us the low-down on what's happening without sugar coating it, I'd still support 'em. At least it shows that they're a company who feel confident in their abilities that they can admit when they borked. But I digress, best of luck fixing this bug LL Team, and may the Schwartz be with you!

From: Malachi Petunia There are some who would say not only do they not know what the other is doing but that they aren't even aware that there is a complimentary hand involved. I wouldn't necessarily say that, but some might... The problem is that when you're dealing with an institution in which there are more than five employees, and / or where a small number of employees have to serve a large customer base, what often happens is that there is miscommunication not only between the staff of the company, but there is also miscommunication between the staff and the user, not always but sometimes. Granted more co-ordinated effort is needed, but I think their main concern is trying to stabilize SL.
